Socket Programming in Perl Presentation (Jeff Williams)

Jeff Williams demonstrated and explained some code illustrating UDP and TCP sockets implemented with the IO::Socket module.   Jeff also reviewed an alternative method of handling socket communication using the Socket method for a better response implementation.  It looks a lot more like the 'C' alternative.

Some good discussion followed re: other tools that are available for similar type functionality such as LWP.
