POE.pm (poe_presentation.tar.gz - 1272Kb) - Gzipped Tarball of presentation slides in HTML format. "POE.pm" was presented by Al Tobey on August 30, 2002.

Perl Threads (perl-threads-html.tar.gz - 720Kb) - Gzipped Tarball of presentation slides in HTML format. "Perl Threads" was presented by Al Tobey on April 27, 2001.

Tools for Asynchronous Programming in Perl (ipc_talk.tar.gz - 550Kb) - Gzipped Tarball of presentation slides in HTML format. "Asynchronous Programming in Perl" was presented by Al Tobey on October 26, 2001.

Perl Threads (perl-threads-html.tar.gz - 720Kb) - Gzipped Tarball of presentation slides in HTML format. "Perl Threads" was presented by Al Tobey on April 27, 2001.

Perl Variable Scoping (scoping.zip - 1.0Mb) - Zip file of presentation slides in HTML and Powerpoint format. (scopingex.zip - 4Kb) Example Perl source code illustrating scoping techniques. "Scoping" was presented by Paul Tjapkes In September 2000.

OO Perl Essentials Part I (OOPerl.zip) - Zip file of presentation slides in HTML format. Object Oriented Perl Essentials was presented by Joel Meulenberg on 03/31/00.

Reminder 2000 (remind.zip) - E-mails reminder messages. Progress.zip - an Outlook 2000 exported task list re-formatter. Code presented by Steve Johnson.

Sockets Demo - A presentation by Jeff Willims demonstrating sockets using Perl's "IO::Socket" and "Socket" modules. This resource includes Powerpoint presentations on TCP/IP and Sockets as well as code examples for a few clients and servers.

The 3D Graphics Demo - A Perl script written by Joel Meulenberg demonstrating generating graphics with Perl. The archive contains source code as well as one animated GIF that is just one example of what can be done with the 3D graphics classes Joel wrote and the Image::Magick module. The GIF is the psychodelic "warping/spinning cube".

The CGI.pm module - A CGI application by Bill Gathen demonstrating Perl's CGI.pm module. See how the CGI.pm module's "abstracting" approach makes dynamic web content (HTML) and form processing possible. Or view his notes on the CGI.pm module in a printable HTML page.

The Perl DBI Module - a discussion of interfacing Perl with databases using the DBI module. A Word document, provided by Steve Johnson is available on his site's Technical Resources page.

A Gentle Stroll through Perl - A step-by-step introduction to the Perl Programming language.

Regular Expressions 101 - An introduction to Regular Expressions in Perl by Matt Heusser.
